Today is the 35th anniversary of Roe V. Wade, the law the secures a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy. I am prochoice, and support any woman's access to a safe abortion. It is not genocide, it is not murder, it is not irresponsible.More broadly, I support the conditions of reproductive justice, of which the right to abortion is a part, but not the sum total. Reproductive justice recognizes:
Today is the MLK holiday. I feel like I should be doing something especially honorable; instead, I am sitting at home, nursing a good cup of coffee in my pajamas at noon. It is bright, sunny, and cold outside: perfect conditions for a solitary and contemplative walk around a pond or a beautiful body of water. Reflection and reflexive, that's what we need. Yesterday, I watched as the water

34 million living victims and going strong. Year after year for twenty years now, we've heard mind blowing
statistics every 1st of December, numbers that once scared us, later became just too imposing to be a constant warning. We need to fight that apathy; anyone who has sex or knows people who have sex – that's pretty much everyone! - has a stake in the war against HIV/AIDS.
Today is World AIDS day. I prefer to speak less about the millions and more about the individuals behind those numbers. For example, take Gina and Chelsea. Here are two women who have done little more than most people in the way of risk, in fact, they could hardly be expected to behave differently with the education that they received. But they now live with HIV.
Both women have chosen to be pro-active and make something of their situations. Watch them tell their stories
here in the hope that they can save others and inform about the vital place of sex education to bring the HIV/AIDS epidemic under control.

The segment is of the ER in Philadelphia at UPenn, where there were 300 + murders in 2007 from the gun violence. The reporter is inteviewing two ER doctors, one of them talking about repeat trauma victims who end up in the ER multiple times over a stretch: the first
